Terms of Service

Effective date: 2 November 2026

These Terms govern your use of HYFOS (the "Service"), operated by VIRAL IDEAS Ltd. It is registered in Bulgaria under UIC 206670721, at 10 Petko D. Petkov Street, Nadezhda, 1231 Sofia, Bulgaria ("we", "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

1. What HYFOS is

HYFOS is a research platform for thematic investing. It organises public companies into investment themes and maps the relationships between them: suppliers, customers, competitors and partners. It also summarises events and institutional holdings.

Much of this content is produced or structured automatically, using AI models applied to public sources. These sources include regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and news articles.

2. Not investment advice

HYFOS provides information, not advice. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Nothing in the Service is investment, financial, legal or tax advice.

• We are not a broker, an investment adviser or a financial institution. We are not authorised or supervised by any financial regulator.
• The content is general. It does not take into account your circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance.
• Content generated or structured by AI can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. This includes relationships, classifications, event analyses and summaries.
• Institutional holdings data is based on public 13F filings. Those filings are published with a delay of up to 45 days after each quarter and may contain errors made by the filers.
• You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Check important information against original sources and, where appropriate, consult a licensed professional.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must give a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your account.
• Tell us at support@hyfos.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Plans, payment and renewal

Plans

• Free: at no cost.
• Pro: $39 per month, billed monthly, or $375 per year, billed annually.

The prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase apply. Prices are final and include VAT where applicable. Nothing is added at checkout.

Payment

• Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Subscriptions are paid in advance.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Settings → Manage subscription. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. The subscription then ends and does not renew.

Price changes

We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for. We will tell you before a new price applies to your renewal. If you subscribe at a founding member price, that price stays yours for as long as your subscription remains active.

5. Refunds

• Monthly plans: cancel anytime; payments already made are not refunded.
• Annual plans: 14-day money-back guarantee. Write to support@hyfos.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full annual payment.
• Deleting your account cancels an active subscription immediately. The remaining paid period is not refunded. If you are within the first 14 days of an annual plan, ask for your refund before deleting your account.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers). EU law gives consumers 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Pro gives you immediate access to digital content. For that reason, when you subscribe you are asked to confirm two things at checkout:

• that you request access to begin immediately;
• that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once access begins.

This does not affect the voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee for annual plans described above.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for your own research. You may not:

• copy, scrape or download content from the Service in bulk, or use automated means (bots, crawlers, scripts) to access it;
• resell or redistribute the Service's content, except as allowed under Sharing below, or use it to build a competing product or dataset;
• circumvent plan restrictions, access controls or security measures;
• interfere with the Service's operation, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
• use the Service for anything unlawful.

Sharing. You may share screenshots and short excerpts of the Service — for example on social media, in articles, newsletters or videos — for commentary, discussion or education, as long as you credit HYFOS (for example "Source: HYFOS" or hyfos.com). This does not extend to sharing a substantial part of the Service's content, or sharing it systematically in a way that replaces access to the Service.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, structure, theme hierarchy and the analyses it produces, belongs to VIRAL IDEAS Ltd. or its licensors.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service under these Terms for as long as your account is active.

Public source material, such as regulatory filings and news articles, remains the property of its owners.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep HYFOS available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We may change, add or remove features. We may also interrupt the Service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

If we remove a feature that is central to the Pro plan, we will tell you in advance.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Investment losses. We are not liable for any loss arising from investment or other decisions made using the Service.
• Indirect losses. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data.
• Overall cap. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This includes liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and the rights consumers have under the mandatory law of their country of residence.

10. Ending the agreement

• You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. If we close a paid account without such a breach, we will refund the unused part of the paid period.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will tell you in advance. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes are decided by the competent courts in Sofia.

If you are a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. You may also bring a claim in the courts there.
