Spire is a holding company formed in 2000 for Spire Missouri Inc., Spire Alabama Inc., other gas utilities, and gas-related businesses, operating through three reportable business segments: Gas Utility, Gas Marketing and Midstream. Its Gas Utility segment includes the regulated natural gas distribution operations of Spire Missouri, Spire Alabama, Spire Gulf, and Spire Mississippi, which sell to residential, commercial and industrial customers, while its Midstream segment includes pipeline and storage subsidiaries engaged in the transportation and storage of natural gas.
