Occidental Petroleum is an integrated energy company focused primarily on oil, natural gas and NGL exploration, development and production, supplemented by midstream gathering, processing, transportation, storage and marketing activities. Its former chemical segment manufactured and marketed basic chemicals and vinyls, but that business was subsequently sold and presented as discontinued operations.
