General Fusion
General Fusion is a Canadian fusion energy company developing Magnetized Target Fusion, an approach in which a liquid-metal wall mechanically compresses a magnetized plasma, without the superconducting magnets or high-powered lasers that other fusion designs depend on. It operates the LM26 demonstration machine at its facility near Vancouver.

–General Fusion announced that its LM26 prototype reached an electron temperature of 1 keV (about 1.1 keV, or more than 12 million degrees Celsius), described as a world first, using a mechanical plasma compression method.
–General Fusion announced the 1 keV result jointly with the UKAEA, and said it was accompanied by meaningful ion heating.
